Color variants refer to changing the color of an image or part of an image. Changing colors is useful for creating a particular visual effect, making a product more appealing to customers, and more. If a single product has multiple color variants, taking one image and making color changes later with photo editing software can maximize photography investment and repurpose images. However, dealing with multiple variants for multiple products can quickly become overwhelming and take up valuable time. Our company has edited over 8.5 million photos, refining our color change and correction techniques. We use one image of the product and one image of each color variant to ensure the product looks the same across all variants except for color. Accurate colors mean happier customers and fewer returns.
